How does it work?

The Interior Crisis Line Network (ICLN) is an innovative network linking five community-based partner agencies to provide 24/7 support across the Interior Health Region. 

The network is founded on the principles of providing 24/7/365 that truly C.A.R.E.s incorporating Confidentiality, Accessibility, Research, and Empowerment.  

Skilled and caring Crisis Line Responders provided over 620,000 minutes of compassionate support, skilled crisis de-escalation, suicide prevention & life-saving intervention in 2021/22.

In addition to providing 24/7 crisis line support through the regional Crisis Line Network (1.888.353.2273 (CARE), we also answer calls from the Interior Region on the provincial Suicide Line (1800Suicide), provincial Mental Health Line (310-6789) and the Canadian Suicide Prevention Service (1.888.456.4566).

We also provide Crisis Chat services during specific times (5pm-9pmPT/6pm-10pmMT Thursday through Sunday).

24/7 support is also available through the Canadian Suicide Prevention Service (1.888.456.4566) or via text at 45645 during specific hours (1pm-9pmPT/2pm-10pmMT 7 days/week).

There are many ways to contribute to strengthening the community safety net in your community by contributing to the Interior Crisis Line Network.  

Call volume has doubled over the last six years and though we answered 40% more calls last year, the reality is the growing need in our communities can outweigh our resources.  

By volunteering, donating or raising awareness of our service, you can make a powerful difference.
